Signature Academy of Industry and Engineering
Industry Pathways
Students may choose Industry Pathways at the Bryant Career Technical Center.
The goal of these Pathways is to equip students will the knowledge, skills, and credentials to succeed after graduation, whether they choose to go to college or enter the workforce directly out of high school.
The following Pathways are offered at Bryant Career Technical Center:
Agricultural Mechanical Engineering
Automotive Technology
Aviation Technology (Dual Enrollment)
Construction Technology
Cosmetology
HVAC-R
Horticulture/Floriculture
Manufacturing
Plumbing and Pipefitting
Teaching and LEarning
Turf Management
Welding
Engineering Pathway
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a curriculum formulated by engineers of all disciplines: mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, etc. Engineering students learn and utilize the design process from start to finish, take simple sketches to more technical drawings, and turn their drawings into a computer-aided design using CAD programs such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Three-Course Sequence
Introduction to Engineering
Students will apply math, science, and engineering standards to complete hands-on projects. They will learn how to work both individually and collaboratively to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3-D modeling software.
Principles of Engineering
Students explore a broad range of engineering topics, including mechanisms, the strength of structures and materials, and automation. Students develop skills in problem solving, research, and design while learning strategies for design.
Civil Engineering
Students learn important aspects of building and site design and development, and then they apply what they know to design a commercial building.
